Edward Perry
Edward Perry grew up in South Florida and is a graduate of both the New World School of the Arts and the University of Miami. As a musician and singer, he has been performing since he was ten years old. He was worked with Bob McGrath, Jose Carrerras, and Luciano Pavoratti. He spent two seasons in the Florida Grand Opera Chorus and spent six months as a cruise line lead male singer prior to relocating to Tampa Bay. His professional theater credits include: Anything Goes (Ching/Understudy Sir Evelyn Oakley), Die Fledermaus (Dr. Blind/Frosh), The Rose Tattoo (Man), KinderTransport (Prop Master/Assistant Director) and the Cripple of Inishmaan (Bartleby). Edward now strives to craft new works for the theater as an emerging playwright and is excited about this inaugural production of We’re Here, We’re Queer…It’s Complicated! which he has written and directed. His other play, Blame It on the Rain, a family drama set in 1989, is seeking its world premiere and he is hard at work on his next play entitled Break on Through centered around religion and death.
