Volunteer

Join the Jobsite team: Become An Ambassador!

Are you passionate about theater? Do you believe in the power of live performances to transform and enrich our community? Jobsite is calling for enthusiastic volunteers who share our dedication to showcasing exciting theatrical experiences.

We live in a world where it may be harder than ever to get and hold someone’s attention and in a city that continues to offer more and more options of things to do. There is no consistent, meaningful arts coverage in the region anymore – long gone are the days where we could count on 2 to 4 reviews of each of our plays in print. Theater all over the country continues to be in crisis and the only remedy is to fill those seats. Time and time again, the people who find us and become regulars say they first heard about us through a friend or from somewhere in their community.

Be a Part of Something Special!

As a volunteer for Jobsite, you’ll play a crucial role in connecting our theater with the wider community. Your efforts will ensure that everyone can experience the magic of our work. The Straz Center handles most areas where volunteers are used in theater (box office, ushers, concessions, etc), but we have an exciting opportunity away from the theater!

Your Role

Assist in spreading the word about our upcoming performances and events by distributing promotional materials, such as flyers and posters, across your networks (work, school, churches, community gatherings, etc.)

Help build excitement and awareness within the community, fostering a deeper appreciation for local theater.

What We're Looking For

Individuals aged 18+ who are passionate about promoting Jobsite.
Volunteers eager to contribute their time, whether it's an hour a month or more, to make a tangible impact on our community's cultural landscape.
No specific experience required — just a love for the arts and a desire to make a difference!

Flexible Volunteering to Suit Your Lifestyle

Whether you have a little time to spare or a lot, your contribution will significantly support our mission to bring exceptional theater to the broadest possible audience.

This is an ideal opportunity for students, professionals, retirees, and anyone looking to engage with their community through the arts.

Examples of How You Can Help

Then, you can help!

You can choose to simply set out our materials on a regular schedule without interaction or shake hands and chat with folks about why you think we matter. The sky is the limit! You will work directly with our Producing Associate who can also give you leads and make sure you get all you need.

What’s in it for You?

Joining the Jobsite team means becoming part of a family of art lovers, creators, and advocates dedicated to making high-quality theater accessible and enjoyable for all.

Apart from the good feelings you’ll have from doing a proper solid for Your Friendly Neighborhood Theater Company, you’ll get access to free swag, tickets, and invitations to special events. But don’t sleep on those good feels!
