Jobsite board and ensemble member Roxanne Fay has already laid down TWO monologues for us for this series, one of two we’ve started this week while stuck in self-isolation.
Her first is Lady M from the Scottish play, just after she’s received the news that he’s just gotten a promotion. You may remember that Dahlia Legault played this role in our 2013 production.
The second should feel familiar to those who saw last season’s Othello. Katrina Stevenson played Emilia in that show, and here is Rox with one of the Bard’s best-loved monologues written for a woman.
We have a total of 7 monologues available in this series’ playlist as of the time of this post, and will continue to add them as artists submit them to us. You may also be interested in our One From the Vaults series where artists show off Jobsite memorabilia and share stories while homebound.
If you enjoy this content while the theater is shut down amid the coronavirus crisis, we urge you to leave a “tip” by donating any amount whatsoever. Every $1 counts at a time like this. Whatever we raise now while we cannot earn through ticket sales (where 65% of our annual revenue comes from) will help ensure that once we re-open we won’t skip a beat.
