Eric Haak has over 25 years’ experience in technical theatre, building scenery and overseeing production in both professional and academic settings. He received a B.S. in Theatre from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Eric has served as Technical Director for Stageworks Theatre since 2010 and has been a member of the theatre department at St. Petersburg College since 2016. In the Tampa Bay area, Eric has served as Technical Director and taught Technical Theatre courses at the University of South Florida and Eckerd College. Past experience includes Technical Direction for Dallas Children’s Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, Gorilla Theatre, and St. Petersburg City Theatre, as well as time in the Cayman Islands, where Eric worked as Technical Director for the Cayman National Cultural Foundation and Lions Productions. Eric has also worked with Tampa Repertory Theatre, Hat Trick Theatre Productions, Patel Conservatory, American Stage, and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Eric resides in St. Petersburg with his wife, Megan, and their pound puppies, Coco, Bella, and Maisie.
