Our Puffy little hearts continue to pitter-pat at the continued love for that special show and our artists. In addition to the cast of PUFFS getting a staff award, director David Jenkins was voted Best Stage Director* for the 8th time and the staff honored the breakout work of Troy (PUFFS’ Oliver, who also appeared in MACBETH and THE PILLOWMAN this season) and Ben (PUFFS’ Cedric and Mr. Voldy) across the 24/25 season. PUFFS narrator Matthew McGee was also given a staff BotB for his work in Gypsy at freeFall Theater. Congrats, too, to our partners at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts for their wins!

* Readers also voted David Best Playwright, which is perhaps a a bit of a flex but he appreciates being thought of. He worked on the adaptations of both MACBETH and THE BUTTERFLY’S EVIL SPELL which can be argued counts but has not had a full book credit on stage since 2023’s ALICE — also an adaptation of existing work.
