Stage Managers

We are currently hiring experienced stage managers local to the Tampa area for our 2025-26 season. 

Ideal candidates should have experience stage managing professional theater and be familiar with both AEA and IATSE union protocols for rehearsals and performances. 

We split time between the Straz Center’s 99-seat blackbox and 320-seat Jaeb Theater. In the Shimberg, stage managers run both the lighting and sound consoles while also managing QLab. In the Jaeb, stage managers call performances over headset to IATSE technicians while running QLab. While not required for consideration, familiarity with programming and adjusting QLab is a huge bonus.

We are unable to offer AEA SM contracts in the Jaeb, but are willing to consider AEA SM contracts in the Shimberg for the perfect candidate. Standard contracts run for 8-9 weeks at $400/wk (20 hours of rehearsal or 4 performances) and 2-5% of net profitsharing once a show covers expenses.

Props Masters

We are also hiring props masters for the season. Jobsite has a small, climate-controlled off-site prop storage unit with some stock but it is also expected that hires have an ability to shop, work within the local theater community for loans/rentals, and be able do some light fabrication when needed.

Props masters’ work is mostly during the rehearsal process with perhaps some light upkeep and maintenance during the run — they are not expected to be at every show.

Design fees are based on scope of work from show to show, and all artists receive a percentage of profit-share once a show breaks even on expenses.
