American Idiot additional casting

Jobsite has an immediate role to fill in AMERICAN IDIOT. We are looking for high-energy, no-nonsense, strong male rock singers who read mid-twenties to mid-thirties, range approximately D3-B4.

To be very clear we are looking for performers who can emulate the sound of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, we are not looking for a “traditional music theater sound” in any way, shape, or form. Get rid of that vibrato, fam.

Singers from rock music backgrounds with limited theater experience but a strong desire to learn and take direction are encouraged to apply.

This is a non-union position. We cannot offer housing, travel, parking, or per diem. Pay is $400 a week plus 2% of net profit, 8 weeks total engagement for 20 hours of rehearsal or 4 performances a week. Compensation is non-negotiable.

Performers must be available for the life of the contract, June 16 to Aug. 9, 2026. We rehearse Tue-Thu evenings 6:30-10:30pm, Sa-Su 1-5pm. Performances are 7:30pm Thu-Sat and 2pm Sun. We are unable to work around standing conflicts of any kind.

To be considered send up to one minute of the song “Wake Me Up When September Ends. Please send a link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc – NO FILE ATTACHMENTS) to your audition along with a single pdf file containing both headshot and resume (no separate doc/jpg or pdf/png combos) with a filename that matches your name (eg, BillieJoeArmstrong.pdf or Wade-Wilson.pdf) to artisticdirector@jobsitetheater.org, including a statement that you have read and understood the full audition call and terms of the contract. If you have a link to a general vocal/performance reel you would like to include, feel free.

This casting call will remain open until the position is filled, as such we urge interested parties to submit as soon as they are able. We will begin reviewing materials on Nov. 16.
