If you are not a Jobsite Ensemble member who has been on stage with us in a few seasons, you should plan on attending the Theater Tampa Bay Unified Auditions on Sat., May 31, at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center. 

If you absolutely cannot make Unifieds, we will accept a video (though please understand us that we prefer to see you in person and believe that you will have a better chance of getting a callback that way) so long as it is received by 6pm on Sat., May 31.

Jobsite Ensemble members who’ve been on stage with us in the past few seasons do not need to attend Unifieds, but should just reach directly out to casting to begin a conversation. 

If you are submitting a video, please read these instructions carefully:

• Send a single PDF file containing both headshot and resume (no jpg/doc combinations, please) and make sure that the filename is your name (eg, Walton-Goggins.pdf, adittimittal.pdf etc).
• In the body of the email, include a link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc — no file attachments, please!) to your audition video.
• If you desire to sing, we ask for no more than 30 seconds total. We would prefer that to be roughly 15 seconds of a ballad and 15 of something uptempo. Note in our general advice that we are looking for very specific voice types for American Idiot and Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.
• If you desire to be considered for The Comedy of Errors, please include a comic Shakespeare monologue or sonnet roughly no more than 1 minute. Please include another 1 minute non-classical contrasting monologue of your choice.
• If you are not interested in being seen for The Comedy of Errors, include two contrasting contemporary one-minute monologues.
• This video should be 2 and a half to no more than 3 minutes in length.
• Email the single PDF properly named and the video link (not attachment) to artisticdirector@jobsitetheater.org NO LATER than 6pm on Sat., May 31. Late submissions will not be accepted.

CALLBACKS

There is no virtual option for callbacks, performers must be present for consideration. Callbacks are by invitation only and will  consist of cold readings from the script, but some may require other preparation or improvisation.

At the time of this post, all roles in the season are available with the exception of Penelope.

We believe in complete transparency in hiring and absolutely hate wasting time. If someone has made an agreement, we’re always going to make that public.

A callback schedule will be posted soon, but expect all of them to take place on Monday nights in June and July.

All roles are paid competitively for the region. We are unable to offer AEA contracts for either The Comedy of Errors or American Idiot.
