Saidah Ben Judah enjoyed a long association with the New York Shakespeare Festival/Joseph Papp Public Theatre, including the current production of Hair running on Broadway. Other productions at the Public include, Much Ado About Nothing with Sam Waterston and Jimmy Smits, Him with Christopher Walken, Bring in Da Noise/Bring in Da Funk with Savion Glover, Anthony and Cleopatra with Vanessa Redgrave, The Tempest and The Ride Down Mt. Morgan with Patrick Stewart, Macbeth with Liev Schrieber, Top Dog/Underdog with Don Cheadle, Salvador Dali Makes Me Hot with Rosie Perez, Richard III with Peter Dinklage, Galt McDermot and John Guare’s Two Gentlemen of Verona and August Wilson’s Jitney. Film projects include Ted Demme’s Who’s the Man?, Bleeding Hearts directed by Gregory Hines, and Kwaanza with Howard Rollins among others. Regional credits include costume designs for the Vermont Stage Company, ACT in San Francisco, Amerian Stage in Berkeley, The Florida Shakespeare Festival in Miami as well as Carnival Costumes.
