Jobsite has an immediate need for non-union actors for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS.

We are looking for highly versatile, technical comic performers comfortable playing high style. Most — if not all — tracks in the show will be comprised of multiple roles, with intentional incongruities in respect to things like age and gender.
To be considered, submit a video link of 2 high-contrast, high-style comic monologues with at least one of them being from Shakespeare. For the second, if not Shakespeare, think farce, camp, HIGH comedy from Ludlam to Wilde to Busch to Coward. A link to this video (YouTube, Vimeo, etc — no file attachments or download links, please!) as well as a single PDF of both a headshot and resume named after the performer (eg Sandra-Oh.pdf) should be mailed to artisticdirector@jobsitetheater.org no later than Sun., Oct. 12. Materials sent in the wrong format will not be reviewed.
In person, invitation-only callbacks are being finalized, hopefully to occur Mon., Oct. 20. Performers must be available for the callback in person, we will not cast solely from a video (or Zoom, etc).
The rehearsal process and performance schedule of this production has unique wrinkles that should be considered prior to submitting:

Jobsite rehearses weekday evenings and weekend afternoons 20 hours a week, typically Tu-Th 6:30-10:30 and Sa-Su 1-5pm, however the unique schedule around the holidays may require some Monday nights. Rehearsals begin on or around Dec. 14, and with the show working through the holidays it is important to note the only official holidays off are Dec. 24-25, and then Dec. 31-Jan. 1. Anyone planning extended holiday travel will not be eligible for placement, we also cannot work around standing conflicts (unavailable Wed. nights or Sat. afternoons for the contract).
Performances are Jan. 14 – Feb. 8, 2026. Thu – Sat. evenings 7:30pm and Sun. 2pm. In addition to standard performances, we host 10:30am weekday Field Trip matinees on Jan. 20, 21, 27, 28, Feb. 3 and 4. Performers must be available for all dates.
Contracts are 8 weeks in length at $400 base salary per week (20 hours of rehearsal) plus a percentage of any net profits. We are unable to offer AEA contracts, travel, housing, per diem, or pay for parking on this contract. Terms are non-negotiable.
Jobsite is a proud 6x finalist for the NEA’s Shakespeare in American Communities Award. “No one in this region “Rocks the Bard” as hard, as relevant, and as daring as Jobsite and their players” – BroadwayWorld.
