The 39 Steps is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 eccentric characters – played by a prodigiously talented cast of four – an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance.
In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called "The 39 Steps" is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale.
A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft, The 39 Steps amounts to an unforgettable evening of pure pleasure.

The 39 Steps features Matt Lunsford (Quills, The Pillowman) as Richard Hannay, Amy Gray (Pericles, Embedded) as a host of female characters, as well as Spencer Meyers (The Taming of the Shrew, Gorey Stories) and Brian Shea (Mindgame, The Boys Next Door) as over 100 different parts, threatening to steal every scene in roles simply referred to as Clown 1 and Clown 2.
The 39 Steps is directed and costumed by Katrina Stevenson with lights and sets by Brian Smallheer and sound by David M. Jenkins. The stage adaptation was written by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan, which was taken from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock. The 39 Steps is based on an original concept by Nobby Dimon and Simon Corble.
