Final 4 performance of The 39 Steps!
Our production of The 39 Steps is currently our fourth highest-grossing production, since we began producing in late 1998. That's an amazing accomplishment, and we want you all to know how thankful we are for your support. We still have four performances left, and have a sneaking suspicion that the show will claim #3 on our all-time list by the time Sunday rolls around.
Packed houses, standing ovations, great buzz on the street for our work – we can't ask for much else! Just yesterday we got an email from season ticket holders who had to reschedule their seats to this past Sunday and who were simply gaga for the show. Here's a snippet of the super kind email they sent on to us: "Once again, Jobsite has outdone itself! We have been coming to Jobsite performances for almost five years and have been season ticket holders for three years now. You have never done a funnier show." Thanks so much, Dona and John!
If you haven't made it out yet, get your tickets fast. Weekend shows have consistently sold out for the past three weeks, and we hope for the same in this final week. Thursday and Friday should still be your best shot, if you hope to take advantage of rush pricing (students, senior and military) as of 7:30 at the box office window with cash and ID.
If you've been out to see us, would you mind sharing us with a friend? Word of mouth is how we've gotten this far, your pitch to a friend just might help push us over the edge and help us sell out this entire final week!
Help us stay the course!
We are still trying to raise $2,500 to make up for a grant cut that came down to us at the end of the year. We had already approved our budget and would hate to go back and have to cut salaries. This money will directly support Jobsite artists and stay here in the local economy, making us all stronger. There is no such thing as a "small gift," if you can offer $1 or $1,000 we would love to hear from you. Make a donation today, or for more information.
Thanks again for all you do for us,
David M. Jenkins

And, don't forget that next week we have a special Job-side Project: We're Here, We're Queer... It's Complicated! We hope you can make it down for this new 90-minute work that focuses on the challenges and complications facing the GLBT community.
Locally written by Edward Perry, this Job-side Production runs Feb. 8 – 12.
Keep in mind that free tickets to Job-side Productions is one of the awesome perks of being a season ticket holder – take advantage!
The Improvised Shakespeare Company
We want to pass on something from our good friends at the Straz Center, more good stuff coming up this Feb. in the Shimberg!
Fully Improvised Plays Using the Language and Themes of William Shakespeare
Feb. 16–18
Shimberg Playhouse
Straz Center
Regularly priced tickets start at $24.50.
Based on one audience suggestion, The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece right before your eyes. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed or written. All of the dialogue is said for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if ever you're wondering where the story is going ... so are they! You've never seen the Bard like this before!
Extra! Extra!
