7.23.10 – Loads of Jobsite news!

There's so much going on right now, we're just going to put this week's news in list form:

Creative Loafing Best of the Bay polls are now open! Please consider Jobsite for Best Theater Company, Production, Actor and Actress under Arts and Entertainment.

Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead opens in less than two weeks. Got tickets?

Artistic Associate Christen Petitt heads up the staged reading of her new play Chapel Perilous, full of Jobsite favorites, on Aug. 9. $5 at the door; FREE for season ticket holders.

Jobsite also teams up again with APASI to present the Job-side Production of Cowboy v. Samurai Aug. 13-16, also $5 at the door and FREE for season ticket holders:

Speaking of season ticket holders getting FREE stuff, the held-over early bird price of 30% off expires on July 31. Season tickets are an awesome deal, take advantage.

Hope to see you all soon at the theater!

Job-Side Projects

The Jobsite Production Cowboy v. Samurai runs Aug. 13 – 16, and we have several staged readings on the calendar as well.

Job-side Productions and Staged Readings events are FREE to season ticket holders. Otherwise, they are just a few dollars at the door.

Keep an eye on all of our upcoming shows and projects through our handy calendar.

Shop at Borders – Benefit Jobsite!

Talk about a cool way to support your favorite local theater company: go shopping at Borders! Here's how it works:

On Aug. 27 & 28, whatever you buy at the South Tampa Borders (books, music, coffee, stationery, you name it) gets added up, and Jobsite gets a donation. We could earn $5000!

Just take this flyer with you when you go shopping.

Support Mindgame

The scenic requirements for Mindgame are incredibly complex with many quirks and characteristics that make it a unique challenge for any theater producing it. We're not trying to be vague, but we also don't want to give anything away. You'll have to come see it to believe it. :)

This will be our most expensive scenic undertaking since our 2001 production of Dracula, which was also performed around Halloween – our company's signature holiday (just last year we presented an adaptation of Night of the Living Dead.)

We want to raise $2,500 to help pay for this huge undertaking. Raising money publicly not only allows us to do more, but also allows us to keep our ticket prices down so that regular folks (our primary clientele) can afford to come to the theater.

The $2,500 won't cover all of it, but it will cover enough so that we can offset our budget to match what we're normally capable of spending. We're already over half-way there – we only need roughly another $1,000 in pledges to meet our goal!

Can you help? Every single $1 helps!

Extra! Extra!

If you really want to get your Jobsite news before it even hits the street, you'll want to sign up for our email newsletter. We only send you stuff you'll want to know, your info is locked tight (we wouldn't want anyone to give out our info either) and it's free! Mmmm... free.
