4.22.08 – Final Weekend for Ros & Guil
We are down to the final three performances of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. The blockbuster run MUST CLOSE on April 27th to make way for the State Thespian Festival next week. We have three remaining shows: Fri and Sat (Apr. 25 & 26) at 8pm and Sun, Apr. 27 at 4pm.
Over half of all of the regularly scheduled performances sold out, and many others were just short of that mark. Local critics and regular theater patrons have been a-twitter about Jobsite's staging of this contemporary classic of the theater.
It's been a fantastic run so far, and despite the bronchitis that kicked me in the rear tech week through the second weekend, it's been a very satisfying goodbye-for-now to acting for me. For my part, it's been an enormous treat to share the stage with this group, most of whom I've had the pleasure of working with many times and a few that this marks a first.
For this show to have fared so well already, with three performances remaining, is amazing. I counted it up, and this is the 67th presentation we've done as a company (to include mainstages, encores etc). For it to rank in the top three in terms of success at the ticket office AND to have it rake in three stellar reviews is just flattering beyond measure.
Again – we hope you can make it out this weekend, or if you've already been that you can send us a friend. We'd hate for anyone to miss sharing this great experience with us.
Also, don't forget about your 2008–09 season tickets. Everyone should have gotten their paperwork in the mail (please email us if you weren't on the mailing list.) We're very happy to see those order forms coming back to us quickly, and hope it's a good sign that we'll reach our season ticket goals for our 10th anniversary season.

Jobsite Theater will be holding general auditions for their 2008–09 season on June 16 from 6–10pm. These auditions are for any and all performers not currently in the Jobsite ensemble who seek placement in any show during the 2008–09 season. We will be prescreening applicants before offering audition appointments. Anyone who has no-call/no-showed an appointment need not apply. We prefer headshots and resumes to be emailed to jobsitetheater@gmail.com, but may still be mailed the old-fashioned way to PO Box 7975, Tampa, FL, 33673, attn: 0809 auditions.
The deadline to receive applications is May 30 at 5:30pm. Callbacks for the individual shows will be held between June 17 and July 28, TBD.
2008–09 Early Bird Season Tickets
A special Early Bird season ticket to all six plays is on sale now for 30% off the regular price – that’s $102.90 per season ticket plus a $10 handling fee per order. This offer will be valid through June 29. As of June 30, the season ticket discount changes to the standard 20%, or $117.60 per season ticket plus a $10 handling fee per order. Renewals for existing subscriptions have been mailed. Email us to receive a subscription renewal or for more information about season tickets.
