Karla Hartley

Karla Hartley received a BFA in Theater Studies from Boston University in 1992. She is currently the Producing and Educational Programming Manager at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and the Advance Production Manager for the national tour of Ferocious Beauty: Genome for the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. Directing credits include: Greetings, Ladies at the Alamo, The Seahorse, Christmas With Elvis, Girl Detective, Cut the Ribbons, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Always Patsy Cline, The Goat or Who is Sylvia?, The Mystery of Irma Vep and Jewtopia. Lighting design credits include The Crucible, Medea, The Mikado, Lysistrata, Psycho Beach Party, Near Far In Out (Tampa), Moby Dick – the Musical and Ragtime among others. Karla has designed and stage managed shows at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the GALA International Gay and Lesbian Chorus Festivals in Tampa, San Jose and the upcoming festival in Montreal.
