Alison Burns

Alison Burns, originally from Sherwood, Arkansas has called Tampa home for the past three years. Before settling in the sunshine state, Alison lived in New York City where she attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and soon after graduating Burns landed the role of a lifetime, playing Maureen in the National Tour of the Broadway musical RENT.  She also performed in many local New York Children's Theaters where she believes her spark for teaching children was ignited!  After moving to Tampa, Alison began teaching the fine arts of theater, but her passion for the stage lead her back to just that! Alison made her debut at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in The Fabulous 50's and has continued with the company through many other wonderful productions, including: Cut the Ribbons, Christmas Cabaret, I Love You,You're Perfect, Now Change and Jewtopia.  She continues to teach at the Patel Conservatory where "... my student's are a daily inspiration in what I do.
